Counter Culture - Restaurant Review

New York usually sets the trends, and the new one is creative
vegetarian restaurants. Counter (212.982.5870), a vegan
and organic restaurant, opened in March, and the chef
behind the stove is New Orleans-born Richard Price, former
chef at the acclaimed Angelica Kitchen in New York. Richard
makes everything from scratch, including a grilled seitan
burger with smoked onions and a tasty barbecue sauce for
his Southern Po' Boy sandwich. I also love the tofu-based
Cape Cod cakes. Most of all, I long to go back for brunch
and try the wheat-free banana pancakes and spinach-mushroom
